Priced by the van load
The quickest way to a price is a photo. We quote on how much space it takes in the van and what it is, and the price is fixed before we start.

Some items cost more to get rid of legally. Mattresses, fridges and freezers, TVs and monitors, tyres, and sofas and armchairs all go to specialist facilities, so they are priced individually rather than as part of a load. If someone quotes you the same for a fridge as for a bag of rubbish, it is worth asking where it is going.

What we cannot take: asbestos (it needs a licensed removal contractor), clinical or medical waste, chemicals, solvents and liquid paint, gas bottles, fuel, and anything explosive. If you are not sure, send a photo — and if it is something we cannot take, we will tell you who can.
Moving out?
Get the rubbish and furniture cleared, then book an end-of-tenancy clean with Clean Slates Cleaning so the property is ready to hand back.
Rubbish removal questions
Do I need to bring things to the kerb?
No. We collect from inside — upstairs, lofts, cellars and back gardens included — and load the van ourselves.
Can you take just one item?
Yes. If you have a few other bits to get rid of, add them to the same visit — it is usually better value than booking separate collections.
Do you take fridges and freezers?
Yes. They contain refrigerant gases and have to go to a facility licensed to treat them, which is why they are priced separately from general rubbish.
Why do sofas and armchairs cost more?
Upholstered seating can contain persistent chemicals in the foam and fabric, and current rules say it has to be destroyed rather than sent to landfill. That route costs more, so it is reflected in the price.
Can you take paint, chemicals or asbestos?
No — they are hazardous waste. Your local household waste recycling centre can often take small amounts of paint and household chemicals, and asbestos needs a licensed contractor. If you are not sure about something, send us a photo.
