How we work

Done in the right order

Protect and prepare

Borders, doors, air bricks and anything vulnerable covered before a drop of water is used.

Treat, then clean

Heavy moss is treated and lifted first, then the surface is rotary cleaned at a controlled distance.

Rinse and re-sand

Silt rinsed off and taken away, then block paving joints refilled with kiln-dried sand.

Finish and photograph

Biocide applied where it is needed, everything put back, and photos sent through.

Honest about limits: jet washing will not fix failed pointing, sunken blocks, oil that has soaked deep into concrete, or spalled slabs. We will tell you what cleaning can realistically achieve before you book, and where the answer is repair rather than cleaning we will say so.

Jet washing questions

Will jet washing damage my block paving?

Not if it is done properly. The risk with block paving is stripping the jointing sand and scarring the block face with a narrow lance held too close. We use a rotary flat-surface cleaner at a controlled distance, then re-sand the joints with kiln-dried sand as part of the job.

How long does a driveway take?

A typical two-car driveway takes half a day including re-sanding. Larger areas, heavy moss or a treatment for weeds and algae will push it into a full day.

Do you need my water and electricity?

We normally use an outside tap, which costs you a few pence. If there is no supply, tell us when you enquire and we will bring our own bowser and generator instead.

How long before the green comes back?

On an untreated, shaded drive, algae can start returning within a year. A biocide treatment after cleaning slows it considerably, and sealing extends it further — usually two to three years before it needs doing again.

Can you clean render, walls and roofs?

Render and painted masonry we soft wash — low pressure plus a treatment, because high pressure will damage them. Roofs we will look at case by case and we will tell you honestly if scaffolding or a specialist is the right answer instead of us.

What about the waste water?

We control run-off so it does not flood your borders or your neighbour's drive, and we do not wash silt and biocide straight into a surface water drain. On larger jobs we can bund and vacuum the water where the site needs it.
